Tangoweek 2009 will take place from Saturday 25th of July to Sunday, the 2nd of August in Zurich. During this time you have the opportunity to attend different dance classes and to meet world-known tango artists from Argentina.
During the 9 days this festival offers everything what any tanguero and tanguera dreams of: workshops with outstanding maestros, open air milonga, marathontango, first-class shows and lots of nice people from all over Europe.
Besides the workshops you can also enjoy the poetry of tango through films and live-concerts. Orchestras like “El Arrastre”, “Trio Tangoneando”, “Todo Tango”, “Tango Tinto”, “Los Taitas” and “Narcotango”, as one of the highlights, will carry you away to the world of tango with their music. Celia Blanco, Armando Orzuza & Nuria Martinez, Ernesto Balmaceda & Stella Baez, Alejandro Larenas & Marisol Morales will perform high-level shows and teach aficionados as well as beginners with great inspiration.
