Narcotango
During its renaissance in Argentina, tango gave birth to many
new artists also in music. Carlos Libedinsky and his group, the
absolute highlight among them, changed completely the classical
tango scene. All four musicians have classical education and
play bandoneon, guitar, keyboard, drums and contrabass on
the stage, but also on computers and samplers. They present
the unconventional form of classical tango elements with samples,
electro sounds and trip-hop. Thus, the very first album of
Narcotango was successfull all over the world. That is because
not only tango fans enjoy the melancholic, dramatic and at the
same time vivid and joyful sound of their music but also people
fond of world music, jazz and electro. During the tangoweek
you will have the unique opportunity to witness the revolution
of the tango scene. The performances of the band are artworks,
full of surprises and sensual experiences, arranged with love
and affection.
